Teresa Heinz, wife of John Kerry, in Critical Condition at Nantucket Hospital

NANTUCKET, Mass. (TheBlaze/AP) — Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, is hospitalized in critical but stable condition in a Nantucket hospital, according to a hospital spokesman.

Hospital spokesman Noah Brown said Heinz Kerry was admitted into the emergency room of Nantucket Cottage Hospital at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

He says Heinz Kerry came to the facility in critical condition, and remains that way, although she has been stabilized.

Brown said he could not immediately release any more details about the patient’s condition.

Heinz Kerry, 74, was stricken with an unspecified medical condition while at the family’s vacation home on the island, said the person, who asked not to be named. Her husband was at the home at the time.

An ambulance was seen leaving the home on Hulbert Avenue at about 4 p.m., the person said. (Continues)
