An upcoming federal watchdog report is expected to detail “excessive spending” by the Internal Revenue Service on conferences, a congressional committee announced Friday.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has
scheduled a hearing for Thursday to discuss the audit with officials
from the Treasury Department’s inspector general’s office, which earlier
this month confirmed accusations that the IRS had inappropriately
