Michelle poll numbers not that good

Michelle Obama's favorable numbers easily beat her husbands -- as First Ladies' almost always do -- but a reader notes that she's taken a serious hit as well, according to the NBC/WSJ poll.

Her favorable/unfavorable number has gone from 63%-8% at its peak last February to 50%-19% today. That's still, obviously, an enviable ratio for any public figure -- but the prospect of the first lady dropping under 50% can't be one the White House relishes.

Laura Bush, by contrast, appears in a summary of the same poll to have broken 50% in the spring of 2001, and stayed over 60% ever since. (Source)
