Obama's 'Winning the Future' owned by Republican Gingrich & domain holder first
Breaking news: It is just now being noted and tweeted that Obama has used the phrase, "Winning the future" heavily over the weekend, speaking in his weekly address and on video about "winning the future". Unfortunately, Obama's choice is causing some chuckles in Republican circles.
Though Obama has also made "Winning the Future" the theme of tonight's State of the Union Address, bets are the Obama reelection campaign 2012 will be searching for something original without strong connections to being previously "owned" by Republicans - Newt Gingrich and a conservative activist from Oregon. Surely that will be the campaign manager's first task following the State of the Union speech - for three good reasons.
Firstly, Newt Gingrich's book, titled, "Winning the Future: A 21st Contract with America" was released in 2005. That book touted Gingrich's famous "Contract with America" steps to "win the future" and is also the slogan of Newt's site, American Solutions: See transcript below:
