Palin beats Couric


The Katie Couric-infused “Good Morning America”  wasn’t enough to pull ahead of NBC’s Sarah Palin stunt flavored “Today Tuesday in Nielsen department.


NBC’s breakfast show averaged 5.497 million viewers, putting “GMA” 356,000 behind it with 5.141 million.

It was the second day in a week-long battle for the No. 1 title in the lucrative morning news race.
NBC has had the spot for 850 consecutive weeks. However, in the most recent week-long Nielsen ratings tally, ABC’s “GMA” had pulled to just 137,000 viewers behind “Today.” (Continues)
