Obama’s excuses are getting old

The Obama recovery is sputtering like a limp balloon, generating a mere 80,000 jobs in the month of June and leaving the unemployment rate stagnant at 8.2%

At this sluggish job-creation rate — which didn’t even keep up with population growth — the country can expect a return to full employment by approximately the 12th of never.
President Obama and the rest of Washington ought to be treating this economic stall as the crisis it is — especially for 12.7 million jobless Americans, whose ranks swelled by 29,000 since May.

Yet the President stuck to his out-of-touch, glass-half-full message — that any growth, no matter how feeble, is “a step in the right direction.”
