Conservative author Dinesh D‘Souza’s “2016: Obama’s America” has
surpassed three Michael Moore films at the box office, making it the
second-highest-grossing political documentary, according to Deadline Hollywood.
Deadline reported that as of Saturday, “2016” had grossed $26.2
million, beating out Moore’s “Sicko” ($24.5 million), the Oscar-winning
“Bowling for Columbine ($21.5 million) and “Capitalism: A Love Story”
($14.3 million). It also topped Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” ($24.1
million). The numbers are not adjusted for inflation or higher ticket
prices. (Continues)
