RNC has more than 10 times as much in the bank than the DNC

The Republican National Committee has more than 10 times as much in the bank as its Democratic counterpart, according to federal reports filed Thursday.

The RNC, which has consistently been crushing the Democratic National Committee in fundraising, reported having $75.6 million at the end of August. The DNC ended the month with $7.1 million.

The RNC raised a total of $35.6 million in August alone and spent $47.8 million – an uptick from the $38.6 million it spent in July.

Meanwhile, the DNC’s August haul was about a third of the RNC’s. It raised $13.6 million, up from the $10 million it raised in July, and spent nearly $22 million. (More)
