WASHINGTON -- Bill Clinton has come out as "basically in support" of same-sex marriage -- endorsing the top goal of many gay rights groups after signing legislation during his presidency prohibiting the feds from recognizing gay marriages.
When asked about his position after a speech at the Campus Progress National Conference last week, he said: "I personally support people doing what they want to do. I think it's wrong for someone to stop someone else from doing that [same-sex marriage]."
